Mark J. Popkin, J.D.

Mr. Popkin has been practicing in the taxation area for almost a quarter of a century. His clientele consist of a wide range of individuals and small companies, covering many different types of industries. Mr. Popkin also has extensive experience with both commercial and residential real estate for over a decade. Many of Mr. Popkin's clients are real estate agents and brokers who work all sides of the real estate markets.

Born is Albany, Georgia in 1957, Mr. Popkin was raised in the Atlanta/Ansley Park area as a youth. Attending the Lovett School, he graduated in 1975, and went on to attend College at the University of Georgia, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Upon graduation from Athens, Ga., Mr. Popkin began a short work experience as a sales rep for a national office equipment manufacturer. Attending law school at the Woodrow Wilson College of Law in Atlanta, he graduated in 1984. Mr. Popkin having sat for and successfully passing the Georgia Bar licensing exam in 1985, has been a practicing attorney since.

  • Representing individuals and small business with IRS and Georgia Department of Revenue issues, including payroll tax deficiencies, income tax debts, Notice of Intent of Levy, Liens, Garnishments, and Notice of Deficiencies
  • Representing taxpayer appeals with the IRS and Georgia Dept. of Revenue
  • Representing taxpayers in Offers of Compromise with the IRS and Georgia Dept. of Revenue
  • Income tax analysis and preparation services for the past 25 years
  • Representing clients who are offereing estates for Probate of Administration
  • Representing clients for small estate and retirement planning
  • Representing clients for incorporation and business planning purposes.
